Hopefully this was enough rain to help with the burn ban at Faire... :D

The temps for AHE still look a bit high for my liking but it's still two weeks out...

Gorgeous weather for 2nd weekend! We had a blast today, celebrating our 25th anniversary. My brother in law is converted and planning to fly back down next year and camp. (They flew in for a wedding yesterday. My sister and I planned this day trip as soon as our niece told us her wedding date)  We got to see the Clydesdales, they are amazing animals!! I forgot just how big they are! Took in ded Bob for the first time in a very long time and realized our son who is 16 had never seen him...apparently it's been a very long time... :o ::)   It was a fantastic day with great memories and I'm already anxiously awaiting our camping trip at the beginning of next month!! HUZZAH!!!

Glad you had a great time. Did you take 105? I love the clydesdale,  but wondered if they distract from fair. So you just day tripped? Wanted to ask about music level in camp.

AHE weather is leveling out...low 70's/50's...

Dragged the coolers out and gave them a quick wash...spent over an hour making stuffed cheese burger patties.  Some have Gouda and spices and others have baby Swiss...plus I'll have a dozen normal patties for those who don't want the goodness.  Hot dogs bought and frozen and nine links of sausage...

Plotted with Nasty, yesterday morning...he'll be at my place around 4pm on the 23rd...then it's off to load Rapier for a quick turnaround.

Yep, bought some stuff this week. Fixed our slide topper that broke. Will pick a day soon to go have Juicy inspected. Then we have to go to Livingston to vote, reg vehicles, and get mail. Getting the list done, all before faire.

yeah we daytripped this time. Took the 105 route in with no issues and took our regular route home no issues. I'm confused on the construction back up was Expected to be...  I don't think the Clydesdales distracted too much. Unless you happened to be where they were on display you didn't notice they were there.  I knew they would be there and still stumbled on them by happy accident.

Arrrgh  >:(

Before, time couldn't move fast enough...now, it's out running me.

Too much to do and I only have a week to do it.  I load out on Tuesday, everything except the stuff that needs to be kept cold, because I like to relax on Wednesday night and get some sleep.  Up at 3am, Thursday morning...pour in some coffee...toss my frozen stuff into the coolers and head to work to ice everything down and feed the shop cat.  By 6am, I should be posted up at the corner store on 1774 @ FM302.

How many folks will be going the first weekend in November?  We almost always go for AHE weekend but had to reschedule for RTR the next weekend.  2 new horses are coming in and boss lady wants to be there to get them settled in.

Final preps are underway.  Food wise, I need to pick up some good steaks for myself, Nug and Lady Vodka, since Sunday night is Bloody Meat Night.  (Laird Nasty will be returning to his castle, Northwest of OKC, Sunday afternoon...so no steak for him)  Beer run will be forthcoming, shortly...

Everything, Faire wise, is going good...the rest of life is another matter...
