Just think of it as work challenging your vast intellectual capacity, and be flattered.

because the truth will make you homicidal, and chipper-shredders are handy temptations :D

Yeah... something like that.   >.<

Finally a day off! AND i get to be off all weekend which NEVER happens lol

I'll be in Houston this weekend kind of a mini vacation, going to warped tour Saturday with a friend of mine.

Ahhh this weekend won't get here soon enough lol

It ought to be nice and steamy for that show... it's drizzling outside, right now.

I'm still looking at partly cloudy, very blues skies here in Sharpstown. Someone's not doing their job on getting us some rain.

Fraser, what's the deal with WTF?  Is it not settling the way you hoped it would?

I still haven't figured out what it is... bright sunshine & unicorn p*ss or gloom & Eeeeevil in a bottle.

I'll know in a week or two.

Well, just leave it alone for a while, and let it make up it's mind!  ::)  :D

*you might try singing it to sleep every night, though... just for a bit of added influence, y'know...*  ;)

Yeah, not meaning to RANT or anything, but the weather in Denver sucked during winter. cold, wet, snowy. And by the 3rd day the snow that was near ANY street turned to this nasty brown slush.
One winter it got so cold that for 3 days straight it didn't get above -10 during the day and at night it dropped to -60. My car was dead, frozen solid for a week. I had to walk to school and I missed work entirely. The snow was so deep that you couldn't tell that there were cars UNDER the snow.
[/RANT]

I'd go back and do it again in a heart beat.

That's just because you were in DENVER... and not nestled up against the front range in the protected Boulder Valley.  Meteorological fact that the winters are much milder just that 30 miles away, because of the way the mountains interfere with the weather patterns in that spot.  When Denver was gridlocked every winter, and they didn't even have enough snow plows to clear the streets, we were doing just fine, and our snow would always be gone within a week, at the longest, even on the rare occasions when it snowed 3 feet or more (happened 4 times in the 9 years I lived there).  Of course, that doesn't hold true for the mountains... but even there the winters aren't anywhere near as harsh as they are just 100 miles to the north.

I never even went down into Denver if I could avoid it, because there wasn't anything down there I needed.  Far too many people, and crime, and pollution... and stress.  And all that pollution just ruins the gorgeous snow... it gets that ugly dirty brown/gray color, and you have to have hip-waders to keep it out of the tops of your boots.  But it doesn't really have enough time to get like that in the Boulder area... because as soon as it gets warm enough to turn to slush, it just all starts melting and is usually gone by the next day.  Otherwise it's just packed down and crunches and squeaks under your tires...

Hmmm... I could really go for a little snow right about now.  Or even a high mountain summer... with icy creeks to wade in, and shady aspens to relax under in the cool mountain breeze while good friends play music in the park at whatever festival is going on at the time.  Or drum circles out in the woods on full moon nights...

(sigh)  Working through lunch kinda sucks...  :-\

But, on the bright side... I DID get to eat lunch at the same time... and I AM working, so there will be a little extra coming in this month, as well!  Guess that makes it a WIN, after all, eh?  ;)  :D

It seems like it's been really quiet in here the last few days... what's going on with everyone?

Oh, and btw...  108 days.  :o  I can hardly believe that in just over a week we'll be down into double digits!!!  :D

Thank you for the reminder, Rani!  I forgot to mark "Day 99" on my calender.  The true countdown is about to begin and the rushing around, like a Mouse on fire, starts.  I honestly don't know how people just "wing it".  I know most of my prep time is aimed at AHE but i like to have everything in place before Opening Cannon, on that first day.  Laird Nasty & I will roll into camp (Opening Saturday) fairly early, we hope but it depends on Nasty's class schedule.  AHE, we'll be at the gate before noon on Thursday and ready to throw down. ;) ;D
