Only here... out there she will have a different character to portray... one with no claws, I'm hoping!  :D

Although... it could get rather interesting...  :o

Edit:
OMFurreakinG!!!  Breandan, I totally need you to come up here and give me one of those back adjusting hugs of yours!!!  That damn bound rib has popped out again, and my insurance won't cover a chiropractor... and it HURTS!!!  Owwwww!!!  :"(  I don't WANT to have to take drugs to make it go away... I just want it to pop back into place  >:(

Waaaay too much computer time lately, and this lousy, sucky chair has got to GO!!!

You should get one of those chairs that are part physio-ball, part office chair. I hear those are good for backs.

Rani- I do housecalls, but only in a 50 mile radius. More incentive for you to blow off this whole Colorado silliness and move down here :D

Fraser- I prefer to be eloquently blunt, it gets the ladies :D

Oh, I'm just a little over-protective of our thread here, that's all.  It is what it is... and we like it that way!  I consider TRF to be my "home" Faire, even though I live 500 miles away... and a large number of these people are part of my extended Fairemily... so I occasionally am just a little overwhelmed by "mother-bear" instinct.  I generally stop short of actually mauling, however, so you're likely safe.  ;)  :D

No grovelling allowed, though... and ignorance is only a crime if it's willful!  :o

(wow... that didn't sound at all pompous or pedantic, did it?)  [facepalm/eyeroll/repeat]  ;D

Uhhh... did I happen to mention that my humor is very often either completely missed, or mistaken for absolute seriousness, no matter HOW many smileys I use?!?  ::)  :o  :D  ;D

Are YOU going to pay for my fully self-contained envro-suit, complete with AC... and hang out with me in public when I have to go outside my house in the summer when it's only 92 degrees out, but the heat index makes it FEEL like 106?!?  Yes... that's what it was down there today... and just stepping out the door in weather like that would likely land me in the ER...  :(  Oh... will you be paying my AC bill, also, when I REFUSE to step foot outside my house until October, unless it's 3am?!?  Will you also be doing my grocery shopping and running all my errands?  Or standing by with a cold glass of lemonade and a sprinkler... just in case I happen to HAVE to walk through the front door at ANY point between May and... Fall?

Yeeeaaaah... didn't think so.  :P

(sigh)  But you know I'd totally be there already if there was even a chance that I'd survive...

Still need that adjustment, though.  :-\

Wow.... 500 miles.  I am lucky in that I live relatively close to TRF.  I thought driving every weekend to Scarborough was bad.  I think it was only 200 miles or so (about 3.5 hours each way).  I love TRF.  My wife loves TRF and my kids actually love TRF.  They can't agree on what they love but they all love something about it.  I hope to meet some TRF R/Fers this year.  I will be there on at least one day each of the 8 weekends.  As far as being protective I don't blame you.  TRF has brought many people many great things since it's start.  One of these is Fairemily.

You're very lucky to be able to go so often.  My daughter and I are generally able to make it for one weekend a year, and we choose AHE because so many of the people we adore are there then... and we spend the entire weekend trying to see as many of them as possible.  We have our Faire rituals, as well, and TRF is an amazing Faire, but we're there for the people, and mostly the experiences we have in the campground.  It's not like any other Faire we've ever been to, and I can't imagine ever finding it's like again... except maybe at Sherwood, but we haven't been able to get there so far.  Maybe next season.

TRF IS unique... even with all the changes.  I'm a people watcher and it sometimes always has the best fodder there is.  :D  Faire is why I'm there but it's more of a sideshow or a highlight that goes with the campground.  I once described it as the Burning Man festival meets Woodstock but there is so much more, words just don't do it justice.

I have yet to make Sherwood but i plan to remedy that this coming season.  ;)

That's an interesting description! lol...

I usually get, "Is it true it's like, one big orgy there?" or "I hear the ladies show their boobs in their costumes!"

I usually just tell them to shut up and go to the festival. lol...

"Oh, you know, it's all one great big drug-ridden, alcohol-fueled, devil-worshipping, orgy out there."

Been looking for that faire since 1977 but still can't find it.
