The Knights of Iron will be there as well with our brand new show "The Adventures of Robin Hood"  Featuring 4 scenes, a human chess match, and a new interactive show where children of the realm get to learn swordsmanship from Robin himself, and then square off against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.

In addition to the 4 scenes, there are also two other scenes that will occur at random times throughout the day.  Just like in real life, you have to keep a sharp eye out or you might miss something!

One more serious note:  this will be the LAST time the Knights of Iron perform at a Renaissance Faire.  We have decided that, after 9 years, it is time to move onto other projects.  We hope that all of you enjoyed our many Renaissance shows, and those we have been involved in, over the last decade, including:

The Pirate Magic Danger Show (2000) - Produced in conjunction with Ring of Steel
Robin Hood (2001)
The Three Musketeers -vs- The Pirate King (2002-2003)
Legends Never Die (2004-2005)
The Legend of King Arthur (2005-2007)

and this year our new production of The Adventures of Robin Hood

It has been a great run.  Join us for one last adventure!

We shall be there on the 13th of July, I will be looking heavely pregnant. :)

Dale, we're looking forward to seeing your new Robin Hood show and thank you for bringing the British acting back from those days, back to life again, it's really made my day. :)
The more you worry, the longer it will take.

>is there a list of hotels near the festival that i have missed somewhere

Hmmm, there should be on the website...

If not, here ya go.

Closest is the Battle Creek Quailty Inn and Suites (SLRF Management stays here, as it is like 2 miles away)
11081 East Michigan
Battle Creek, MI, US, 49014
(269) 964-3000

A bit further away, like 5 miles, but very close to food and other good things.

Holiday Inn (New and very nice)
BATTLE CREEK
12812 HARPER VILLAGE DRIVE
BATTLE CREEK, MI 49014 UNITED STATES
Hotel Front Desk: 1-269-9790500

Days Inn Battle Creek (most of the cast stays here)
4786 Beckley Road
I-94 & Capital Avenue
Battle Creek, MI, 49017 US
269-979-3561

Motel 6 Battle Creek #4250 (acceptable for a Motel 6)
4775 Beckley Road
I-94 at Capital Avenue, Exit # 97
Battle Creek, MI, 49015
Phone: (269) 979-1141

Hampton Inn Battle Creek (Typical Hampton.  Nice)
1150 Riverside Drive, Battle Creek, Michigan, USA 49017
Tel: +1-269-979-5577

Ramada Battle Creek (I have not stayed here.  I am told it is good)
5050 Beckley Road
I-94 Exit#97
Battle Creek, MI, 49015 US
Phone: 269-979-1100

DO NOT stay at the Knights Inn.  It is in an awful area, and the rooms smell.  Last year the police raided it while we were there.  We were moved promptly to another hotel.

Hope that helps,
