My First Solo Sewing Project!

I've been sewing with my mom on and off since I was about 16, but I've never done anything on my own before. But the lovely MetheGreat convinced me to make my own pirate coat instead of buying one, and I'm proud to say that so far, it is turning out very well!  :D

That's a loverly jacket, you've done an amazing job on it :).  I adore the colour.

Is that by chance the Pirates of the Caribbean pattern from Simplicity?  It's an awesome pattern.
I love historical sewing for the lack of zippers ;)

Thanks! It is a Simplicity pattern, but it's not the PoTC one. It's this one:
