Hey- Arent You?

So.... other that the lost puppy pooping in public.....and the sad loss of the gate master....

it was damn near perfect, weather wise.  decent crowds. lotsa fun was had by me.  I was pretty damn tickled to see Mr.Thehood, and Araianna, and several others that I had missed as well.

I have to agree. It was a B. E. A. U, T-Ful day except the rain towards the end and the major slow drive home do to hydroplaning..

I had fun, I know Toki had fun and I cannot believe how many commented on his Comb Morian helmet and looking like a Conquistador. What a hit that was I guess since Colorado was explored by them and having a huge Hispanic population really made those who complimented Toki's day.

We did an early celebration of Toki's natel day as he was gifted a leather and cloth pouch from renaissance leather. Their work is wonderful.

Not a large photo day for me, I guess i'm slacking and doing less as time goes by. The photos I have are mainly of the court dancing, of Toki inhis helmet and a few of joust.

I bumped into two old friends (not in garb) and chatted a bit withthem. Got to know the Stick pony girl better, and got a photo or two of a rabid canine hiding in the tree's.

I closed out the day by the beautiful and talented Mistress Charlotte's booth and celebrated her birthday by drinking the MOST delecious Raspberry and Chocolate Velvet Mead. OH MY GOD was it to die for. I must find some.

Yup pretty good and fun day.

I am sad we only have 2 days left :(

The Baroness and I had a lovely time, including the opportunity to meet two lovely ladies, Mistress Charlotte and Captain Zoe, in person.  Well met, ladies.  Ditto your sadness at having only two days left, LD.  I think whoever invented the word "melancholy" had the last weekend of a fine festival season in mind.  Oh well, there is always Santa Fe, Kansas City, and Arizona to look forward to.

Well met, Baron and Baroness!  It was a pleasure to meet you at last, and I'm quite excited I'll get to share Santa Fe with you.

I also got to meet Bear at last this Sunday, at Chili's after faire.  Twas a pleasure indeed!

In general, this weekend was another downer for me, albeit it was better than the weekend previous.  I've had a lot going on in the last week and a half in my personal life and it's been getting in the way of my enjoyment of faire.  Nevertheless I think it's over now and I can enjoy the last weekend of faire and friends with vigor and excitement.  Huzzah!

Hey- Arent You?

OH, I had one I forgot, but was actually weekend 6.... (memory often fails me)

Here's renfaire history test.  who knows the name Mike Bonk?

Mike created one of the very first online faire webrings (faires.com)

Ran into he and his lovely wife Liz weekend six.  really great people and one of the pioneers that helped forge the cyber path that brought us to, well, here, in a twisted and convoluted path.  Was awesome to see them, as I haven't for years.

just thought I'd share.  anyone else know or remember Mike & Liz?

A customer bought two Italian ices and came back ten minutes later clearly upset about the purchase- banging them together and complaining, "These things are as hard as ice!."   :-X

Since i stopped the acid i don't have so many flashbacks anymore.

Now for me was a relaxing day at home on saturday. Sunday was a bbq with a bunch of pirates at bear creek lake where the mesquitos thought i was a double whopper with cheese.

Blushing

I've heard of Mike Bonk ... we keep missing actually meeting each other, but he's a member of my clan-guild, the Biggins.

My weekend was mixed to start, but it ended on a very good note indeed!  ;D

And did this "note" make you blush?

Well, not to be spreading rumors or gossip or nothing...

...But yea, I saw said "Note" causing her to blush at Chili's.

BTW Blushing, He's cute.  I say you keep him till at least the end of the 09 run of Colorado.

Blushing

The answer to your question Baron, is aye.  Of course, we all know how very difficult it is to make me blush!

To Radu ...  ;)
