First off: A great big thank you to Capt. Fletcher for allowing me to enter the area and see the changes. He took time off and came up to give me a grand tour. Thanks big guy.

Much of this description may not make sense unless you have my grid map that is posted in a thread that buried several pages down.

I intend to post my pictures as soon as I can reduce them to the size that photobucket will accept. Or I really need to see what file storage I have on Comcast.

Okay, the construction has been around the row 0 area.

There was a fence along the area that ran down to the gully. That fence is no longer there. Where Charlie had his trailer was the fence line.

Imagine the camping area from rows 0-6. Now flip that area over the gravel road. They have cleared all but the large trees in the area and it is mostly level ground.

The area beyond the gully (2H-8J) has been cleared an additional 50 feet into the woods.

Roads with drainage culverts have been installed at around 4G, 7I, and 10J. Also, the new road (from last year) around 15J has been built up with a culvert. There is still that grassy area around 15I that folks kept getting stuck in.

The newly cleared areas are still pretty much bare soil, but hopefully grass will start growing in the area soon.

It was really strange seeing the campgrounds empty.

I'll be looking for an updated satellite image. If one isn't available, I'll have to do a photoshop edit of the available map and post it here.

Mike will you be bringing a map of camping area with the new sections to Sherwood on the 8th? There are those of us that are interesting in moving our location that will be there and it would be greatly appreciate.
Don't forget to smell the roses, but watch out for the thorns!

I can do that. I may just do one that covers the new area plus some of the old, so that there is enough detail.

I  may come up to Sherwood on Friday evening (maybe even take Friday off from work - just closed a $700,000 order so I deserve some time off), so that I can help with the clearing Saturday morning. I'll have to have my second-in-command take charge of my submarine veteran meeting

I will be at Sherwood Forest sometime Friday afternoon. I'll have the photos I took of the TRF new construction with me.

Still haven't found an updated satellite/aerial photo, but I think a marked up old photo will tell the story.

Sorry if I missed anyone at the Sherwood Forest party this past weekend. The folks that did catch me were impressed with the newly cleared area and they may consider camping in the area
