thanks everyone. it is 3 acres. the nice part is the neighbor on each side owns 30+ acres each so i have the benefit of few houses around me and less property to pay taxes on.

Are there fish in the pond?

If so, how do you keep it from freezing over into an ice pond and killing the fish when it snows?

yes there is fish. i made it a shallow pond so i could enjoy seeing the fish. there are 6 koi all larger than a foot and 2 goldfish that are about as big as they will get. i take them in in the winter and keep them in a horse troth in the utility side of my basement with a pump going. been doing it for a long time and they dont seem to mind.
