The Clash for sure.  And I bought one of those CDs of Irish music from the little kiosk at Target that sells "mood" music and I actually love it.  I realized when I watched Titanic the last time that most of the songs are from the movie.

And then we listen to my daughter's IPod.  I love her obscure taste in music, but I couldn't tell ya half the bands on it!

I totally forgot to put Iris & Rose down! D:

Oh... Shiny!

I'd LIKE to listen to the rousing celtic rock, Cottars, E Muzeki, Led Zepplin, and some Lord of the Dance, Anuna, Chieftains, Rogues, Shantyman, etc... but usually hubby vetoes me. *pout*

I listen to many different things to get into a rennie state of mind.
For months ahead of time I listen to Iris & Rose, Dropkick Murphy's, Rogues, Enya, E Muzeki, Great Big Sea... anything with a rennie twist to the tunes.
For the ride there it may be an audiobook (4 hourish drive) of something like Harry Potter or it could be some of that rennie style music again. I loves me some sea shanties I must admit.

*Sea shanties also go well with rum*

I was reminded of the Celtic Music Podcasts.  Marc Gunn has many excellent podcasts that are great for getting into a faire state of mind.  Also the ren radio guy, but I don't think he does podcasts, therefore its a little difficult to take renradio on the road.

Celtic woman, Bagpipe music of any kind, Chamber music with a harpsichord, just sends me to the quiet place in my mind where fest never ends.
"Seven Nations" got it love it!
Have sent to Canada for "Enter the Haggis".
Cannot find any of my "Cast in bronze" want to find some "Dead can dance" need "Blackmore's Night.

Taking notes with a fury, the quill and ink are set to tenders, did not know, I could write faster than I could type.

Take my hand and walk with me through life, or send me in the general direction, then point and laugh!

Luna

well besides what has already been listed, i like listening to Celtic Thunder, and Celtic Woman

Stalkwell

Don't forget the greatest release of all time  ;D ...
Silly Wizard's "Live Wizardry"
Sadly, it is out of print, but word is on the street that it will be re-released shortly.

You will recognize a few traditional cuts, and a few spunky originals... all of which you have heard at faire.  Andy M. Stewart is a minor deity, BTW.  If you get a chance to see him live, jump at it... besides being a great writer/entertainer, he's a really nice guy.

... Stalk Well...
Enthralled with the Faeriebox...

Captain Kilian

e muzeki, cast in bronze, rogues, tartanic, iris and rose, the bilge pumps, or anything else in the ever growing CD case of great rennie tunes!
