Is there anyplace that has a map showing the locations of major renfairs across the country?

I was JUST wondering that! It would be very handy!
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

We have the faire directory. which is a general map of the USA.

But I think you want something with locations marked on the map. Something you could use to estimated distances and such.
Some one here set up up at one point. People enter a zip code to mark where their faire was.  It's an online program . We even had one for the RF at one point.
I just can't remember the name of the thing.

Well, I started one, but it hasn't been updated since last year.

It's a .KMZ file that you read into Google Earth.  As it is, there are 525 Placemarks for Renaissance Faires and Celtic Festivals worldwide.

You can find it at:

http://sites.google.com/site/dbaldock9/kmlfiles

Just download the file with the latest datecode.

I remember dbaldock's map in Google Earth ... fantastic.  It even has a bunch of smaller faires, as well as non-renaissance (pirate, etc.) ones as well.

Ok guys.. going to lock this thread.  It's not really Faire Directory updatey... but still interesting.  I think I may just make a sticky with the links to what you guys provided.

Edited..

... sorry about the typo dbaldock, I really fat fingered that one ...
