Greetings!
My daughters and I will be attending GLMF this weekend for the first time and being a garbinista, I have some garb questions. I don't have Roman but I do have Medieval-13th century (Catherine the Moor), Italian pirate mama ca. 1700--Caterina Passero (Catherine Sparrow), and late Italian Ren. Your website says Medieval so I'll probably go with that. My daughter says everyone actually does Ren and I might stick out. Who then does Medieval? Is it OK to do Medieval?

Greetings and salutations! Great lakes is set to the medieval period. While the cast and quite a number of playtrons are dressed in period garb, you will find a number of pirates, gypsies, fae folk, warriors and ren as well. All are well accepted and welcome. I would advise you to wear whatever would make you happy.

Yes, as Higgins says, wear what you want.
We are not snobs and will not turn into garb nazis.
At GLMF it is all about fun, and being who you want to be.

IF you want to get some ideas, you can look at the pictures on my site.
Here you can see what the cast looks like.

Your pictures of the cast are just the thing I need. When I go to a faire, I don't know the roles. It took me a few years of attending my own MiRF to figure out who is who. Thank you for doing such a wonderful photo page.

BTW: i like to bookmark pages like that. In February, I'll put some Ren music on and look at all kinds of faire pictures and videos.
Fortunately, ah keep mah feathers numbered...for just such an emergency.
