Dingdingding! Good gentles, we have a winner!

So I've been working on a box-pleated collar for a high-necked partlet tonight; fiddling with the pleat spacing all evening.  I just got the pleated ruffle sewn on to the collar, and it's SO CUTE!! 

So I held it out to show Milord, and he said, "It looks like a chef's hat."

(Ok, I haven't seen a whole lot of blackworked chef's hats, but I haven't watched all 5 seasons of "Top Chef" like he has.  Fine.)

So I wrapped it around my neck and said, "It's a collar, see?"

DH nodded and said sagely, "Looks kinda Elizabethan-like."

Ah, gotta love 'em.  LOL

But, hey!  I must be on the right track, yes?!

Men!  Sometimes you have to hammer stuff in with a blunt instrument - like a cast iron skillet or a plastic jug...
