bodice length

Oh yeah I see several shoppes that offer underbust corsets as well as waist cinchers, would these have been worn during this period? If so, how?  The song "do your boobs hang low" keeps jumping in my head.
Would a corset (strapless) been worn at all?

Personally, when I wear either of these I wear a bra also.  I'm pretty top heavy for my body size and it wouldn't be a pretty sight without the bra.  I wear a strapless one with a regular bodice also, but that's just a personal comfort issue.
