LadyElizabeth, that is totally awesome.

I finally finished all of our pirate garb last week as we headed down to Pirates in Paradise in Key West.
Unfortunately we were only there for about 25 minutes before a torrential dowpour started. We waited for it to stop but gave up after 1 hr and headed back to our campsite and then home. We would have gone back the next day but we had 2 inches of water inside the tent and lost the camping spirit.

This is my beloved in his garb,
I will post pictures of my jacket on the mannequin when I get home. I didn't get any pictures of me wearing it thanks to the rain.

Ok here is my pirate coat.
There are a couple of things I'm not particularly happy with but I will take it. It was my first time doing a lined jacket and that was a project in and of itself.

Ooh, Auryn, love the pink pirate coat, it's georgous!!

Thanks all for the compliments.  It took a few weeks, but turned out exactly as I wanted... well very very closely to what I wanted.  I need to make a new cage framed under bustle because mine didn't hold up to sitting down at all!!  I need a higher gage metal for it!

Ooh, very pretty! Are the workshops in a specific location, or are they virtual?

It was from Costume Talk in Eugene, OR. So yep it was a hands on and we also did a Glove making class.
It was not as right so when I get the thumb part right I will post it. I think I will use wool for my next mock
up.
