I finally have pictures of the Kahlan-inspired (Kahlan from the Legend of the Seeker show) dress I made in October. I'd been meaning to get pictures for a while and then it snowed, so I jumped on the opportunity.

That is a STUNNING photo! Great work Manwariel.

Thanks! I used Simplicity 2573 for the bottom of the sleeves, Butterick 4030 for the basic hood shape (but I modified it quite a bit), and either Simplicity 4940 or McCall's 5499 (I don't remember which) for the main part of the dress and upper sleeves.

I had been thinking of making a mother confessor dress since I started watching the show,
yours came out awesome.
I actually saw a young girl wearing one at faire this weekend but hers wasnt as spot on as yours.

Are you going to copy the leather under-clothing, as well? ;)

Thank you!

I don't think so, at least not anytime soon. I have too many other projects waiting right now. :)

Lady Amy of York

Manwariel...pretty gown. I agree with the others on here. The combination of your white gown, and the snow in the background...lovely picture. Looks like something out of a fantasy movie. :)

Thanks ^^

I think I'm finished with my steampunk corset. It's far from perfect but came out okay for a first corset attempt, I suppose.

LadyShadow

That looks great.  Love the color
