Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

The Sleeve pieces together. Lady De Rue Rue's gown is a deep green.

Oh My Yes,  That is going to be scrumptious.  Really beautiful work Lady K.

I visited KYRF for the first time this past weekend and had been told that it would be hot, sticky and casual.  So I made this jumper out of school uniform blackwatch fabric and added a linen apron.   So comfy and easy to wear!   Now I know what the faire is like I am making a more medieval type gown to match their 1300 time period for next visit. (yes my cord knot had slipped and my top lace was missing on the ladder)

My new Norse dress!   I love the linen and the brooches were made using a couple of medallions I found in the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby.

It's amazing what one can find at Hobby Lobby. i get much of my Gimps and Piping there. Sometimes there is a fabric that jumps out at me and says "BUY ME"!

Hahaha!  ;D

I'm finished with the new saccoccia. Decided to line it with a moss green/brown fabric, it looks cooler as well as making the pocket smoother inside. I used scraps to make a waistband, as well as a bias tape for the opening. I still have quite a bit from when I made a Venetian dress of this fabric. Wish I bought it in more colours, it is all synthetic but looks period and is comfortable to wear. And the ricamo/couching technique is surprisingly fun and quick!

Really really pretty.   Couching really does give  you a lot of "showy" for your time.

(sigh)  I have GOT to stop looking at this thread!!!  I keep finding things to add to that never-ending list of things I never seem to have the time to make!!!

Amazing work lately, everyone!!!  Just absolutely beautiful...

That couching did turn out very well. The whole thing is very eye-catching.

I was a "wee bit" productive over the weekend.  Here are the Ren faire related items, the rest are over in the mundane section. :)

Her "barbarian" booties, and her black boots for her baby pirate outfit. The fur one's were going to be lining, but they looked too cute to not be seen so I just used something else. :)

It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Love, love, love those booties! Great job!
