My sooooo close to finished "Lady with Unicorn" dress:

(I need to finish and attach guards on shoulders, skirt front and skirt hem, and I need accessories like a partlet, jewellery and golden belt). I've worked day and night on this project. It was started on May 22.nd, so the progress has been excellent. it usually take me months to make just a bodice.

The dress wasn't all laced up in the right side, that's why the shoulders are uneven. It's not like that when properly laced...

ETA: More to come when finished.

Pah!  Who needs lessons?  I thought *I* did, but quit after the "teacher" wouldn't let me move on from darts. I taught myself to sew--in my 30s.

Although I posted this to a different forum, I thought I'd add it here as well.  I did not do the tailoring, but I did do the embroidery - digitizing and stitchouts - 95 of them @ 45 min each!

The original design:

Once she got the stitchouts and put it all together, along with 3000 (yes, thousand!) freshwater pearls:

I told the gentleman later that I had perhaps given away my best work.

Sir Henry

Huzzah Sir Henry,

What a lovely outfit!!!  It quite takes my breath!  I showed the Hubby because Black and white or silver are his colors and his mouth dropped when he saw your work!

Ok you win.  I've been badgered by one of my friend's to make a special doublet for him.  It is simular to that one in that it is all embroidry.  If he thought his design was over the top.... all i have to say is  WOW!   I take my hat off to you. Well done  ;D
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
