Birdinthelocker:  That was a cool outfit.  I particularly liked the iPhone on the cuff.

Thanks Queen Bonnie, 'tis always a pleasure to "image" you and your evil twin.  ;)   Yes, that must have been a native Texas Leprechaun.  :D

Congrats to Valt on his new "precious" (the 100-400mm).  Gonna have to hit the weights carrying that all day.

Melkar - another fine group of photos my friend.  Nicely done!

Valt already had the 100-400mm lens and he has done quite well with it.  I believe his new pride and joy is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens ... one of the sharpest zooms on earth.  I purchased a used one a few months back, sent it to Canon to be repaired and recertified, and it cannot be described as anything short of excellent!  As good as Valt is, we will probably be seeing even better shots from him in the near future.

Valt, are you about 6'8"?  I think I may have seen you at Dickens on The Strand in Galveston on Saturday, towering over a group of people you were talking with.

Take Care,
David Baldock

That would be right, and a good possibility that it was I.

I was standing and visiting with Donal Hinely (musician who plays the Glass Harmonica) when the DoTS Parade started, so I took my pictures of the parade from that location.  When I reviewed my Pictures today, I found that you (Valt) were captured in some of them, since you were standing across the street, also shooting the parade.  You tend to stand out above the crowd!   ;)   ;D

Went to TRF for the 7th weekend. I didn't take many pics, but here are the ones that turned out well.

Colorful gypsy near POW Pub.

Hey!  That's me!   :D :D :D  Thanks for considering my colorfulness pic worthy, Sir Martin.  I wish I had a pic of the looks on faces when I stepped out of the tent that morning wearing this.  Priceless!  :)

Hey, now there's a familiar face!

Need to make a new thread for the current year.

Good idea, Ravic ... I'll take care of it.  We have a new consideration for posting photos that should not be a problem for most folks.  The new guideline is meant to keep the pages loading at a reasonable speed for those with slower connections.  I'll explain in the 2010 season photo thread.

Lady D1

I am a newbie to this forum although not a newbie to TRF.  I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for posting their pictures as it was great to see them.  A special thank you to Valt, as I found his pictures doing a web search and have looked at them numerous time for costume ideas as well as to revisit our own time spent at TRF.    For 2010, I look forward to sharing my own with everyone.
Don't delay, taste a tart today!

Sir Martin

Welcome to the R/F forums, D1.  We look forward to seeing your photos of the upcoming season.
