And at 4:00pm, at the Revels Stage, we be hostin a Fish'n'Chips eating contest!

I look forward to seeing you all in your piratical best!!!

*** Please note, these contests are open to patrons only!   This means that if you or an immediate family member is employed or engaged in ANY capacity with TRF or one of its vendors (even if you are just walking parade for a pass or comps), or if you have a TRF pass for any other reason, you are not eligible to compete in the contests.  Thank you for your understanding and support.    Later in the season, there are some contests that are specifically open to employees and vendors.

I have a six year old daughter who might like to participate in the treasure hunt.  Would it be suitable for her age? Where would she need to be at 10:30 to sign up?

I believe they give out the details of the hunt up near the main entrance where they do the dancing in the roped off area.

I was just about to ask the same questions for my daughters who are 5 and 7.   :)

They should be old enough.  From what I know of it, they give you a sheet of paper with various items to locate or things to participate in.  I.E. find such and such cast member, play a round of golf with the fae (was fun actually they used a pink flamingo yard ornament...).

Not sure my evil twin can enter again as she came in 2nd last year???? But she is a pirate- so she might try anyway! Yo Ho!
I will be sad to not be at TRF as much next year. The alchemy spells are not going well this year! I plan to enjoy every day this year to the fullest!!!

The Pirate Treasure Hunt is geared a little bit more towards older kids and adults than some of the other hunts, in that it is a bit more difficult and complex...   Instead of a sheet of clues, players will recieve a map with one clue on it.  This will lead them to the next, which will lead them to the next, and so on (kind of like Amazing Race).   So they will essentially follow the clues from one to the next, collecting info that they will need for the final task.

There is nothing on the hunt that is INappropriate for the younger ones; but they will require a significant amount of help from parents/older siblings.

There is no signup; Treasure maps will be distributed at the Revels Stage area starting at 10:30am, and then will be available for the rest of the day at the info booth.

Thank you for the info.  Sounds like it should be fun for all of us.  Now, if I can just get us in the gate before noon.  :)
