Wow, so many faires in Ontario! Nice, might have to put that on the road-trip list for next summer...
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

2009 faire dates

From Gregor's Crossing: Chatham (March MAY 28-31, not March. Need caffeine...), Simcoe (New! June 5-7) and Morrisburg (June 12-14)

Faery Fest: Guelph (June 20 and 21)

Faires in Time: Pirate Fest (August 1-3), a Renaissance Festival (September 25-27, still in early planning stages)

Those are the ones I currently know about/am going to be at. Six weekends of faire is not too shabby!

Gregor's Crossing is in March this year?

Also, anyone know anything about the one that was supposed to open this year in Missassauga?  I lost the web address.

SwordintheStoneCrafts

The http://www.canfairent.com website seems to have gone the way of the dodo, unfortunately. Interestingly enough, the Gregor's Crossing website is down too, but I bet those dates are supposed to be in May ;).

There is also:
Robin in the Hood in Elmira June 5, 6: http://www.robininthehood.com/
Casa Loma Renaissance Festival in Toronto July 4 - 6 http://www.casaloma.org/Seasonal/
Royal Medieval Faire Waterloo in September: http://www.royalmedievalfaire.org/
...and possibly the Muskoka Medieval Faire in Bracebridge, but that isn't confirmed: http://www.muskokamedievalfaire.ca/

Chris, do you have any info regarding Simcoe?

... I have no idea why I wrote March. Wishful thinking, I guess. I did, in fact, mean May. Hey, at least I got the first two letters right!

All I know about Simcoe is that it's being run by Chelle and Duncan, same as Chatham and Morrisburg. The Friday is an educational day for the childrens, then Saturday and Sunday are the general admission days. I don't know the exact location and so forth yet.

PrincessSara

Are Simcoe and Morrisburg Arthurian like Gregor's Crossing?

GirlChris

This year, Gregor's Crossing, Simcoe, and Morrisburg are all set in 1169 England, during the reign of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine (peasants in kirtles and tunics, nobles in bliauts and... more tunics)

The storyline is the same at all three faires. And there is an actual storyline throughout the day, with fight scenes and betrayal and other such wholesome things. Oh, and some romance. You know. If you like that kind of thing.

Hmm... the Gregor's Crossing site IS down... maybe they started on the changes for this season? I have no idea.

Whoops! I guess I should just stop saying stuff about dates, cause apparently I got EVERYTHING turned around and backwards.

There's a REASON why I play ditzy blondes!

Arianwyn

Can anyone confirm the Gregor's Crossing dates?  One site I was on said June 6th and 7th
