I agree with Auryn.  When do they do this?  I am looking at taking some design classes or getting self teach design books, but I am no where even close to thinking about trying to do that on my own.

I can't stop buying that promotional silk at fabrics.com
And they keep upping the price on me.
I feel like a crackhead.

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

Artemisia

Now it's Denver Fabrics.
They have Italian silk on sale for $4.95/yard.
Plus linen, tropical wool, cotton sateen...

Looks like I'm gonna need a 5th 95qt bin.

I think I have overdosed on fabric.

Although a bit sad, I am glad to have acquired this.  There is a group called freecycle, in which people give away items they do not want or need. There was a man giving away some fabric. When I told him I would love to pick it up, he told me that his wife had died in september, and he did not want to throw away the fabric, but wanted to give it to someone who would use it. he said there were about 4 bins of fabric

well when i got there, it was a room full of fabric. it broke my heart to know that i did not know her personally because she was an amazing seamstress, and the room was my fantasy, but i took home two jumbo sized garbage bags full of fabric, i mean the ones that when full are about 4 feet high, much of the fabric was embroidered, beautiful stuff. some of it, were actual Sari's, and I have been wearing those around the house, and started planning out different outfits.  i have yet to even examine each and every single bit, but i go back in two more weeks to continue looking when he gets back. im just glad to know that he knows i appreciate the fabric, being that since im on sick leave, but not getting money, i cant even buy fabric

I've been thinking of getting my machine fixed and now I'm convinced.  I've seen so many beautiful projects. I already have one box of fabric ( quilt scraps ).  I guess now those will multiply when garb making starts.   ;D

My addiction is on hold till I get the stuff that I need to get done for my shop....

I hear ya! The purse strings have been tied, I'm on a strict budget. Fortunately I have more than enough fabric for several projects, and that should last for some time. I just need to watch myself with those coupons I get in the mail from JoAnn...It's like holding a piece of chocolate cake in front of someone who's on a diet...

Don't forget thread to go with all that lovely fabric...  Matching thread for both sewing machine and serger, and some silk for hand finishing even if the fabric isn't silk, and some nice contrasting or matching thread for top stitching where it will show, and that stripy quilting thread just because it is SO pretty, and metallic thread for embellishment, and the embroidery thread...

I have enough fabric for several projects but I think that silk is calling my name now ... I already found different colors.
