See!  I knew there were more people that i was forgetting!  Megan, feel free to kick me in the shin the next time we see each other!  :D   Seeing you is always a high point... you have so much energy & drive.  Your friends were all great to be around... tell Gretchen not to be so shy around us... we don't bite.  Well, some of us nibble...  ;)

This is your SAPPY MOMENT disclaimer so if ya ain't feelin' mushy, too bad!  ;)
The sappiness shall continue...

Meg, I just wanted to tell you that it is understandable how others go out of there way to care for you.  I guess it is like they say, you reap what you sew.  You are such a sweet young lady and have made my family and me feel welcome as much or more than any other person we've met.  During our first year attending faires in this area, I felt there was something different or special about the people here.  We love it. It will be sorely missed if/when we have to leave Texas.

Okay, back to lurking and being my usual dorky self.

Oh, and I have to add that I think there might be a new mundane convert soon.  Samedi was so inspired by all the wonderful Steampunk invasion, he is working up something for himself.  I'm shocked and amazed (and elated).  :)  Now if it successfully sticks, maybe in the far future we can get him to shave off a century or two from his garb.  :D  Wish me luck.

What happened to Gretchen's stick? Most people get some gusto in them when they are armed...though something tells me that Fraser could only handle a stick that was full on Nerf. And don't let him nibble you! Didn't your mama ever tell you, "...but you don't know where that's been!"

Lol @ Mouse... you've never seen a Cold Steel Blackthorn, have you?  It's required by The Order, which i'm one of the three Lairdes, to carry one...

Nay, I haven't seen one. I have however used a stagger stick. Use that enough times and I believe I can shatter cinder blocks....If I see you guys this faire season, I shall demonstrate. 5'2 and can put my hand through almost anything...including the arduous task of filling out medical forms because I put my hand through something.

I appreciate the sentiment good sir. Laugh it up I say. Besides, why not enjoy a world where people like Oscar Wilde lived and a quote as marvelous as "Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is where a man falls down a man-hole and dies" exist. Woody Allen I think said that one.

Almare, trust me, next time I will make sure to pry you out of the shell and be more extroverted... Or just give you a stun baton to chase Mouse with ;D

I really must stop reading this thread. I was consigned and come to terms with going Celtic Christmas, knowing full well that while Sunday is the 31st next year, I can just as easily rining it in Saturday at midnight next AHE...but, but, it seems I missed, as one rennie put it, an EPIC weekend. I shall lament and await next year to finally meet all you peoples, as I feel the numbers may be thinner that Thanskgiving weekend.

Oh, and no stun batons needed. To quote yet again the great MacManus Brothers, "You'd probably have better luck with a beer."

Rani Zemirah

No finer looking band of kilted protectors could a lass (or two) hope for, whilst wanderin' about in the dark... ;)

I'll be the first to vouch for these fine men, and their chivalrous ways.
