Maid Marian's Chapel is being painted tomorrow.  Shingling of the roof.  Seating being installed sometime next week.  It's going to look great.  Five Celtic Crosses around the outer perimeter.  Should be completed in the next two weeks.

The grounds are being cleared of all brush.  The trees are being trimmed.

In early December, we should start installation of the water lines and electrical lines. Likewise, we are going to engage experienced builders of other faires to:
--finish the facades of our booth complexes
--build our pub
--construct our stage backdrops

Some have expressed concerns of the pace of things.  Have no fear.  We will get there...if even as Goerge A has indicated "by the skin of our teeth."

We will need to have several volunteer work weekends in December and January.  So, get out your gloves and pain brushed.

Any with ideas, designs, and experience with acoustics, give us a holler.  We need our stages to project the sound out into the audience.

105 days before the gates fly open.

And on that day, an elderly gentleman--a Yorkshireman, to be exact--will stand upon the ramparts and read a proclamation from the current Sheriff of Nottingham.  This gentleman and his lovely wife are making their way across the pond to celebrate the opening of Sherwood Forest Faire with us.  They were the first to take me to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem 21 yrs ago.  They showed me castles, villages, and celtic stone circles in the midlands of Merry Ol' England.

Friends, as the time nears and the excitement grows, know we are diligently working toward making this experience everything we collectively hope and dream it can become.  Yet, from the beginning, we said this was a joint venture.  You and us--together--building a community.

Question, Critique us all you want.  It will make us better.  But in the end, give of yourself to this venture.  Pass out brochures.  Talk it up.  Dream.  Paint. Spread rye grass with us.  Pick up limbs.  Trim trees.

Thank you for walking this journey with us!!!
