Title: Noble Cause
Post by: Bryan Beard on December 22, 2009, 11:55:53 AM
Hello my friends, we are very saddened by not returning to perform with you and for you in the 2010 season but hope to return soon to our Scarborough family. We are actually moving our home base to the DFW area in the spring. Have a great season and we look forward to seeing you all at other shows.

There will be Joust, I don't know how likely we will be utilized as corpse bearers.  ;)

Now, I will miss Noble Cause and their fantastic productions at our Faire. I remember having to argue with my grandson (as some of you guys carried the "loser" from the field) that the guy was NOT really dead..."Papa...I saw the blood and that was a real sword, you're wrong - he's dead." But, I have on several occasions around the country, seen War Horse Productions in action and they are very good. There'll be a noted difference in their horses, horses' armour and their own tilting armour and of course there will be a different feel to the joust, but it will be at least as good as what we are used to and I venture to say they will welcome participation from our local renfolk. Here is a link to their site - http://www.warhorse.com/index.html - and I believe they are already seeking volunteers and people for paid positions...for pages, etc. Their website only lists their 2009 calendar so I don't guess anything is official yet, but I'm sure we'll hear soon.

Noble Cause - Thank you for all the grand shows, I have wonderful memories from taking my kids and grandkids to the Joust. Hope to see you all return....

It shows on their site they do Minnesota, not sure if they are the ones that have done it in years past - this is our 'home' faire and the joust has the best horses we have seen.  I believe M'lady calls them Destriers.
