It can get discouraging when one works every weekend. Just started a new job so it's not looking good for trying to go to Tex renfest. Who knows tho maybe I will catch a break. If not then I hope everyone that does go to faire remembers to take lots of photos so those of us stuck at work can at least get to see the great folks and their garb. I liked when Tex renfest had webcams through out the fair. It was sorta like being there. sooner or later I'll get weekends off in the distant future. Well that's all of my complaining for the day.
Sorry to hear that. I've been at my job so long, I just tell them what days I need off, or they'll ask, "When's your next faire?" They're pretty gentle with us old pharts.
