Title: Garage Sale
Post by: John on June 06, 2008, 03:21:02 PM
For garage sale type items.  Please no shops unless you're going out of business and giving deep discounts.

I have a huge load of college textbooks that I am still trying to sell from up to a year ago.  Renmail me if you are interested and I'll get together a list of everything I have available.  While I have mostly theater books, I also have music, sociology, and history books, as well as a few novels and the like.  I am more trying to get them off my hands than anything, and since the college bookstore gives crap for buy-backs, I'm selling at a much discounted price.  So, if there are any college kids looking for textbooks, hit me up and see if I've got anything you're looking for.

Night Embrace (light spinewear)
Dance with the Devil
Kiss of the Night (heavy spinewear)

This only helps folks in the Acadiana area of Louisiana, but I'll be having a moving sale at the end of the month (Last weekend of August 2008) and probably the first weekend of September as well. I am in South Lafayette, and I have a TON of craft supplies, fabrics, Magic the Gathering cards, general household stuff, school supplies, baby stuff, and a zillion other oddities. Also, FROGS.. lots and lots of frog stuff.

If you are interested in digging through anything and are in the area, email me. I am generally around all day and don't mind digging out boxes. Otherwise, feel free to drop an email for directions to come to the moving sale and see it all spread out.

BTW-- a lot of the sale will be INDOORS, where it is nice and cool and not affected by rain or shine, yay!

I have a ton of Japanese language and Korean language mangas (graphic novel comics) for sale. I also have some other assorted books and tons of incense. If you are interested in any of this, send me a pm and we can discuss it.

Gwen, if you have any garage sale leftovers that you want to send this way, I can pick them up next time that I am over there and offer them up to the people in the Houston area. I am sorting things for a garage sale, but it will have to wait until hurricane cleanup is over and I have a clear yard.

I had no idea this section was in here !.  I'll have to check back more often.  I do have things for sale, but put them up under Buy-Sell-Trade.  I am looking for under-12-inches action figures, or figurines (vinyl/plastic) of "universal studios" monsters : Frankenstein, Mummy, Gill Man, Drac, Wolfman.  Hopefully for under $5.00 each.  I was comparing McFarlane's Monsters, but they might be too big. They have to be taller than 3 inches tall.  Thanks if you have any hints.  ____Shannon in Michigan____The Colonial Peddler

For Sale: Dodge Ram Van - Must Sell!!!

1989 Dodge Ram van, extended, 200k+ miles. Good heater, good tires, air shocks with dashboard gauge, one passenger seat, carpet, otherwise unfinished. This was my stock van for many years. Has wiring for electric trailer brakes, and a bumper hitch. Bumper is extra heavy-duty. There's also a heavy-duty Reese receiving hitch that I had taken off, but which can easily be bolted back on, for sale separately.

Plenty of living room. Has some rust at the bottom, and one small leak at the edge of the roof that can be easily stopped with caulk. Two side doors, two back doors. (Needs new weatherstripping on the back doors.)

$1200 or best offer. Location: Gallatin TN (near Nashville).

PM me for pictures; I don't have any way to post them here.

Getting ready to list my knee-high (20 eye) Doc Marten's on eBay, but if anyone here wants them, pm me & make an offer...

They're practically brand new (I've only worn them once; thanks to my calves I've found one more thing I'm "too much woman" to wear), super shiny (not patent, just well maintained) and I even have an extra pair of (never worn/used) insoles I'll include. They say they're a size UK 6/ EU 39/ US 7, but I wear an 8 and the fit my feet just fine. I'll try to have a picture up later tonight : ) I have a pic up on my Facebook page ~ pm me if interested and I'll send you a link  :)
