Personally it is re rekindling of friendships and meeting new ones!
Especially ones that bribe me with candy-

I can be bribed only with ale, or if my wife is not around, with an ample bosom..........................
What makes a day at Faire for the Duchess and myself is an encounter with patrons who ask questions and are genuinely curious about our characters, Tudor history, court relationships, etc., etc.
Encountering rennie friends is a close second.
Meeting up with friends both new and old!
Seeing friends in garb.
New faces and old friendships rekindled
Bribing friends with candy
