I love the pre-Raphaelites.  They aren't Renaissance art per se, but they did explore many of the themes of the Renaissance era and in such an achingly gorgeous way.

Monet... Artistic genius that proved you can invoke a person's emotions with just a few well placed daubs of paint on canvas.

His initial work, "Impression, Soleil Levant" (Impression, Sunrise) is the source of the term Impressionist painting...  ;D

  Rembrandt.  Actually just about all the Dutch Masters.
 The wonderful details of everyday life, in gorgeous colors.
