I recently started running the Community Arts program at Montgomery College, and felt that it needed a class in Renn Fest costuming. If you're like me, you need a kick in the pants to get yourself started on your costume more than the week before you go. So I made the class! It runs Monday nights 7-9:30 in Silver Spring, 7/9-8/6/18. Do you know of any other events in the area like this? I'd like to connect with them! I know people who run events during the festival, but no one doing lead-up events.

Now THAT is a cool idea! I can't take the course (as I'm in Texas) but I still like the idea!
You might cross-advertise it to the Drama Dept folks as they can also use it to create garb for themselves - might also increase enrollment.
