I'm trying to wrap my head around Helena Bonham-Carter in a role that isn't a horrible, evil character...

Think back to the film "A Room With a View."  She was also very vulnerable in Mel Gibson's production of "Hamlet."  Oh, she was in the film about Lady Jane Grey...
