Hi Fellow Alabamians (and friendly neighbors),
Alphonse and I are wanting to create a chapter of the Mythopoeic Society www.mythsoc.org (http://www.mythsoc.org) here in northern AL. The Mythopoeic Society celebrates the literature of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and other excellent fantasy in that vein. You don't have to be a member of the society to become a member of a chapter. We see this as an excuse to take up characters outside of fair and generally connect with others who enjoy fantasy. Exactly what we do as a group will remain up in the air until we get people together. Renmail me if you're curious. We're in the Guntersville area. Meetings could rotate but further than a 2hr drive probably isn't realistic for regular attendance.
