HEY! They're doing a pre-season feast at Cornerstone church on 18 & 19 Jul (Fri and Sat) at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $25 advance, and $30 at the door. This year (2014) it is called King Henry's Pirate Feast. Purchase of the tickets gets you 1 comp RenFaire ticket per feast ticket. They are good for the first couple of weekends, but if you're a season pass holder, they upgrade the comp tickets to be good for the full run of the Faire. Huzzah!

We're going to the Friday show.
Lucky! I hope it is super-fun! Are you going to dress in garb for the event?

But of course!
Sweet! Tell us how it goes - someday, I'm going to drive in for that!! Does everyone dress? What do they serve?
It was pretty nice. Hardly any of the patrons dressed out (we did, of course!). 5 courses: Rolls with butter; Caesar Salad; intermezzo of cranberry juice; main course of roast beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans; and dessert of pound cake topped with berry compote and whipped cream. There was a big pirate section of entertainment. Many sets of Romni/gypsy acts, a couple of bands, Bob the Amazing Juggler, and the Fae Court. This year, it looks like the Fae is HUGE! the entire Royal Court was in attendance.
Started at 6:30 and ended at 10:00.
Really liked it, would recommend it!
