Title: Faerie Wings
Post by: Blue66669 on March 05, 2013, 11:48:11 AM
I'm almost done with my project, and thought I'd bring it here. My brain is leaking out of my ears right now, and I'm SO happy I'm almost done. Without further ado, my new wings!

Step one... frames constructed

Step two... covered and burned, ready for sealant

Step three... wing one COMPLETE!

It looks beautiful.  Just be careful to not get any leaky brains on it.
;D

Cool! Being completely unfamiliar with wing construction, what's the material you use for the "sails?" Whatever it is, its beautiful!!!

That would be just plain old fashioned iridescent cellophane.

The colors warp and change when heat is added for a really neat effect.
