Title: Lookin for Love (Employment)
Post by: spitecookie on March 22, 2010, 12:46:54 AM
Hey kids! Countdown is upon us and it's time again for searching out jobs. It's my first year on the road and I'm trying to set something up ahead of time instead of begging by the gates last minute.

I've worked Minnesota ren fest for four years and am looking to jump the border. I've been doing games (dunk a wench and improv insult humor), but have outside work history in sales, retail, food service (both cooking and serving), alcohol service, childcare, art and design, customer service, office work, management, organization... There's really nothing I haven't done or am willing to do. I have own garb, own tent, own travel, and can and will come running in an instant. References to back me up and a work ethic I can brag about.

Please let me know if you're at all interested, I'm a stickler for absolutes and don't want to find myself wanting come first weekend.

If you want to work food or game service, go to coloradorenaissance.com and fill out one of the applications they have there.  If you want to work for a boothie, your best bet is to check out the bulletin board that's outside the faire site office, or roam the site the week before opening and talk to any of the boothies who might be setting up and ask them if they need any extra hands.
