Giovanni....

Giovanni (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giovanni_di_Bicci_de'_Medici) (1360 – 1429) was the founder of Medici family and the Medici bank.

A very poor man in the beginning.  Not born to wealthy family.

A simple, patience and modest man with a head for business.

Born in Florence, Italy.

In 1410 he sponsored Baldassare Cossa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antipope_John_XXIII) , a former pirate, who changed his occupation and became interested in religion.

When Baldassare became Pope John XXIII he remembered his friend Giovanni and made him the official bank of Rome.  God's Banker.

And this was the start of The Renaissance!
