Cool still works, I had a problem earilier with it. It wouldn't let me in but I think it had something to do with my computer at work.
Dunno if this should be posted (if it shouldn't, someone can delete it), but if the site goes down for whatever reason, the chat can still be reached by going to http://www.everywherechat.com/chatnow.php (http://www.everywherechat.com/chatnow.php).
1. Put your username in for Nickname and click Sign On
2. Type /join #renaissancefestival and press Enter
3. Close the lobby room (there's a little black circle at the top that, when you mouse over it, it has an X)
The chat seems to be broken right now, though that may just be me...

Like everyone else - what a shock when I tried to get on and see what was happening in the RenWorld today. It's a bit like going to sleep at Faire and waking up in the Mundane World.
Bit glad to see the fairemily is starting to gather.
When I type in renaissancefestival.com I get sent straight here. Has the chat room & Faire directory gone away? Just curious.

No idea if it's possible to restore the faire directory at this point. John is working on recovery at the moment.
UPDATE: There is now a link for chat at the top of every page!
question about the chat - are we done using everywherechat? or does the ajax chat page draw directly from the irc channel?

Ok, so I went through this and found that at the time of the writing there is no chat for our group. There were 54 chatrooms up and going none of which had a name even remotely matching #renaissancefestival. Do we need to have a new one set up?
The new ajax chat will probably be our new chat room. Looks to be full of new content. Each section of the forum can have it's own chat room now!
I just read your post, DB, and I clicked on Chat and it worked! I had been trying to get into Chat since we moved onto this new forum and it never worked. Thank you!
Of course, nobody's there now, but I'lllllll beeeeeeee back!
