Title: Romance Weekend (3rd) Pictures
Post by: reese on June 02, 2008, 10:07:27 AM
Here are some I got on my camera.  If anybody else have pictures, please do post them as well.

Reese

Note:  It does appear he's trying to hide a smile.

Carlos is actually being still and quite!

How many Noble's does it take to push water off the top?

Singing and dancing in the rain...ok drizzle.

We all would love to send proper protocol to the air, find a comfy chair and doze off at the end of Faire day.

Thanks for the visit and for playing!

Master Mehan can do more than spout, uh, poetry, he makes paper as well!

Enjoying a break in the maze.

Dancing with wild abandon. I pray to the Stars Above, they never loose that youthful spirit to dance from their hearts with out care of how others perceive them.

I suspect he was forced to learn how - I can't imagine any responsible merchant selling him paper if they had any idea what he planned to do with it  ;D

*giggle* Will, I do believe you may be onto something there.

M.J., thanks so much.  I did go click happy with your camera on Sunday, so hope there are some good pictures.  I was a bit shakey for half the day, so hope none are blurry.

There were a reporter and photographer from the Richmond Times Dispatch at faire on Sunday, and they have a nice slideshow up on their website:

At appx. 10 seconds before the end you can see our own Master Will Paisley demonstrating one of his best-honed faire skills: locating the beer tent.

Yeah, and making paper was a blast except for the fact that I dropped about 4 sheets of brand new paper on the ground immediately after the kids make them. Oops.

Nay, I was giving directions to the beer tent (or more properly, The Pub .... with The Beer).  My internal GPS (Grog Positioning System) insures that I can locate the direction to the Pub blindfolded from any point in the Shire.

I'm somewhat surprised they used that shot, as they seemed (understandably) partial to photographing the bright and shiny people, and I thought they got a shot of me introducing myself, IBRSC-style, to one of the visiting nobility from PARF.

I'm very glad indeed that they did not use the following (real) exchange as a voiceover for a shot of the Very Impressive Bishop (he was visiting from PARF, yes?):

Anne: Is that the Pope?

Me: Nay, child, that is neither Pope nor Popish priest of any sort. That is the Archbishop of Canterbury of the Church of England.

Anne: Sodding heretic.

Reese...

Yes, I was trying to stifle a smile... I was feeling rather proud of myself because I thought I had caused Lady Berkley some trouble with the queen, but she got out of it as usual.

She's a gooooood wiggler, she just smiles and the Queen just grants her boons right and left.  What's up with that?!

Keep trying, perhaps you'll get her some time, when she least expects it and without her dear smile? to protect her from the Queen.

Hugh as he was running back to the Maypole for our first dance of the day, right after the Archbishop arrived, "DON'T WORRY GUYS!  IT'S NOT THE POOP IT'S THE ARCHBISHOP OF CANTALOUPE."

That is too funny!   That sounds like something Hugh would do and say.
