Has anyone else caught this great poet performing at the Polish Pub or with Iris and Rose? I think he would be a great addition to the performance line up (yes, I sent Terre a message already) We saw him once with Iris and Rose then again on Saturday while waiting for one of their shows. Think he has a great talent. I highly recommend the adults try to catch him this weekend (Celtic) He is not a kid friendly performer!
We saw his show and loved it and I even voted for him on the RF web site.
We saw him yesterday @ the 3:00PM show and thought he was very funny.
We saw him AHE weekend and are looking forward to catching him for closing weekend. He is hysterical but definitely NOT for children!!
He is REALLY REALLY FUNNY! Great timing and delivery and knows how to get your goat!
He is a "staple" at the Minnesota Faire where he performs in a tight alley between a couple shops.
Is he the one that does the "Pudding Song"
I believe Gordon Boudreau (a.k.a.- Arthur Greenleaf Holmes) was one of the Mud Beggars who performed at Scarborough Renaissance Festival in the 90's. I remember seeing Gordon and another one of the beggars doing different, funny, non-mud type lane entertainment over in the Holly Field between mud shows.
He has another alter ego, who goes by the name of Scratch The Beggar. He is a riot as either character.

Now scratch I remember from years past.
That answers my first question.
Here is a video I took of him a while back from Scarby. Ignore the shakiness at the start, he started before I was ready lol

It is definitely NSFW though, so make sure those speakers aren't on to loud.
I need to repost the others, I have about 5 or 6 of them somewhere around here lol
*Rum wouldn't even begin to wash his mouth out*
Arthur Greenleaf Holmes is really funny, adult humor. Iris & Rose introduce him to the audiences at some of their performances. He sometimes comes by the unofficial pub sing at the feast hall at the end of the day and does a poem or two.
If he has them there, I highly recommend his CDs. I listen to the one that is like a biography of AGH at work and it makes me chuckle through the day (w/headphones of course).
We in Ogrot were fortunate enough to catch his show after Iris and Rose. It was amazing and we purchased his cd on the spot. We listened to it twice on our way back to Kansas. Dirtiest act I've ever heard at a faire and it's all wordplay. Dirty dirty wonderful wordplay.
Finally got around to adding my other two videos of Arthur. And yes, they are definitely NSFW. Hope ya'll enjoy them!

*It would take a lot of rum to wash that mouth of his out*
My goodness! My ears were burning. And just as I was in the middle of building a death bed for Coleridge. (What do you get for the aging poet who has everything, including morphine? A death bed. You know he'll use it.)
Anyway, I don't mean to interrupt you, but to thank you for your pleasant praise. This is a newish venture for me, and it means a lot to get such positive feedback so early into the game. This rather confirms my suspicion that my audience is far superior in every aspect to me, and I deliver my poetry with no small degree of shame and disappointment that such exalted examples of high moral quality should allow themselves to be dragged down into the cistern of my iniquity. But since you're here, enjoy the pudding, as it were.
Ta-ta!

Welcome to the forum Arthur!
Good to know that we attract such upstanding individuals are yourself.
*I feel a need to hide my rum... not sure why*
We are glad you have joined us, Arthur! Your show is superb and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
AGH, I shant see you until August at MNRF. In the meantime, your cds tend to rotate in the player in our car. Looking forward to your visits to the pub (Foaming Stein, of course) and your random poems of thanks. I'm still saddened by the overgrowth on the knothole out front...
