Does anyone know if they carry these in Joann's or Hancock Fabrics? Or do I have to order online (maybe from Pillaged Villager)?
I decided I want to try a waist cinched but I don't want grommets. I thought perhaps lacing rings would be a nice alternative.
Thanks!
Look in the drapery department for really small drapery rings...then let me know cause I'm going to use them for my sleeves, HAR!
I used the necklace closures from Hobby Lobby. The round sides, not the toggle sides! They worked great, by the way!
I've seen a number of people just use the loop side of metal hook and loop clasps. You'd be paying for peices you don't use though.

They have lacing rings, and she is very good at getting things out quickly!!!

I've done this a couple of times. It works great. I've also managed to find uses for the "extra" hooks, so they didn't end up going to waste. :)
Lady R, check out this thread from last year for some fun alternatives:

I have bought lacing rings from Renaissance Fabrics, too (as well as many other things!). IIRC, they carry two sizes and two colors, and their service is great.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. And thanks to Gem for posting the link to the other thread, because I didn't know what toggle clasps looked like.
Luckily, there is a Hobby Lobby close to where I work, so I can stop there.

Not necessarily - some wholesalers carry both pieces by the yard, individually.

I just recently bought Metal Lingerie Rings from an ebay seller. If you can't find them anywhere else you can always look there!
I hope I am not repeating information that has been found 100 times... but I just did ebay search for a "closed jump ring" and WOW. pick your size ladies. Not the fanciest you'll find.. but for a penny you find bunches and if you are using them where they don't show..... then...... why not
they are also available at www.Pillaged Village.com
by the dozen or by packs of 100 in gold or silver
Greetings all! Thank you so much for the tip regarding using toggle clasps for lacing rings! I am making a non-Ren dirndl for Oktoberfest and could not find an affordable option for the lacing rings. I went on Amazon and found PAGES of them at great prices, plain and decorative. I have prime, so I'll get mine before I need them. (1-2 days) Just wanted to share, and thanks again!
Yay!
