How did everyone make out with the tornados and bad weather? Were there any people on Saturday or Sunday?
I heard it shut down early on Saturday. I'm not sure, though.
Yes, I was told they shut down at 2 PM Saturday. I went opening weekend and the final Sunday. It was far busier on Sunday than it had been the first day, which was quite nice--lots more people walking around, a pretty good number in some form of garb. There was an additional vendor or two as well. I was pretty disappointed the first day we went, and wasn't planning to go again, but I had some friends who had purchased the LivingSocial deal weeks before and hadn't made it out. As they are not regular ren faire attendees I was talking to them beforehand about how other faires are larger, more to do, etc--which turned out to be more-or-less unnecessary, as they had a good time and enjoyed the shows! The bales of straw that were put down for seating at some point really helped, it was nice to be able to actually see the shows instead of just people blocking the stages.
Glad your friends enjoyed it. We were closed by 2 on Saturday. Apparently I stayed in the only part of the area that saw only five minutes of rain and no severe weather...I was actually angry that we closed until I saw the news reports. We were VERY lucky. I hope a good time was had by all that came out to NCRF though.
