I just read that the Eastern South Dakota Scottish Athletes will be hosting their Heavy (Highland) Games on Saturday... at the faire. Cabers, hammer throw and sheaf toss, Stone Put and weight toss (usually sand filled kegs) for height and distance. Gate includes the games! This is the the real deal folks..not a demo. Class A,B & C in all divisions.
I expect the crowds to double for faire, good thing they have plenty of hard surface parking!
Captain Jon Hanslow, and possibly crew, will be there!
I will be there Sunday the 3rd. as Brotther Gregory or the Executioner.
