Good morrow
I was browsing the forums and seen that we are not particularly active during off season on the forum and would like that to change. For me and I am sure some others this is a place to keep in spirit when faire season is not in full swing. Yet I have to brush off cobwebs and dust from posts just to feel involved. Liven up lords and lady's we can't let this section die only to be lit up during fair then to die again

Oh no! We left you hanging for so long! How about a countdown?
!!!!!137 DAYS till FESTIVAL TIME at KCRF!!!!!
I'm already looking forward to fall at KCRF! I hope we have some "cloak-weather" days this year. I went to Kegs 'n' Eggs at the KC Festival grounds just so I could soak it up to last me through the summer. ;D Although it is a couple of hours away, I consider it to be my home festival. Is this your home festival too? Do you visit other festivals during the year?
How was Kegs and Eggs this year? You know, Michael was one of the "Grand Prize Winners" last year when he got a $100 prize egg! What kinda prizes did you win this year? What did other people get?
I'm considering going to the Brew B Que event on May 20th!
Tamtaro yea it is my home fair only about an hour away and I've yet to go to a holiday event at the faire but it's on my to do list as for the prolonged isolation think nothing of it. I too hope for cloak weather although mine has yet to ship still :( all because I want a grey one and not red lol

Kegs & Eggs was another success! The weather was beautiful & the festival grounds make me so happy. I remember Michael got one of the golden eggs! This year we were about 15 minutes late for the opening of the gates, so we didn't see any eggs or win any prizes, but I saw a lot of brew-swag. The first year we made friends who shared their prizes - tickets to the St. Louis Renaissance Festival. Last year, we won an assortment of fun stuff. The people-watching was most premium! I hope the Brew B Que is a lot of fun too!
!!!!!128 DAYS till the GATES OPEN at CANTERBURY, KANSAS!!!!!
Johnwolfe - I hope a new grey cloak comes for you soon! (And cloak weather for us both this fall!) My favorite garb: hat, mini-mug, cloak and my mundanes. ;D
No cloak for me was gonna take another 2-4 months on top of the tree I already waited :(

My sis & I are considering going to Bristol for Labor Day weekend & I've seriously had the thought, "What about my opening weekend crepe at Canterbury?" :'( ;D
Y'all know I have issues, right?

Great! I look forward to it!
Butch my good sir do you frequent a certain pub so it might be easier to find you and share a few drinks
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've quit drinking alcohol (BOO!) but I should be found returning throughout the day to see Cheeks and Phoenix at that two-story pub in the middle of the Faire. Otherwise, I'll be wandering. A lot! It's opening day! Lots to see!
That's is a bummer again I'll keep an eye out but it's gonna be packed lol

Keep an eye out for the blue, fuzzy cap! Probably the only one around (it has been for the last 7 or so years). I'd love to meet you and buy you an adult beverage! It'll be great to be in the Lanes of Canterbury once again!
I was there butch but couldn't set eyes upon you we plan on going this weekend as well and perhaps I'll bring this magic hand held letter sender

I was there Saturday. I'm sure we'll run into each other sometime this season! I won't be there this weekend (going to Des Moines/Sleepy Hollow).
Sounds fun perhaps we shall set up a specific time and place lol

Does anyone know where to get kcrf metal plates. I seen a lady wear bunch of them on her belt for for all the years attended or something.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think those are for attending, they are for working or performing at the faire. If you get a season pass, you get a medallion, I've got a few from the last few years.
Hmm thanks for the imput

yeah most of the performers out there have the pewter plates and wooden bowls but anyone can buy them they mostlly have bought them from vendors at the faire. I keep telling myself i'll get some someday never have.
How has everyone enjoyed 2017??? I was in EARLY this year came weekend after labor day. LOVED IT!!!!!!! Had a ball. Chess was great, pub sing was great, the Mexican Street corn was sooooo good. Sad I didnt get to do a cool October weekend this year but price you pay for being busy with a wedding. ( which reminds me I need to get rid of the profile photo I have from 14 years ago.............. )
I'm going this weekend!
Does anyone here know the name of the leather shop next to the plague doctor?
If you are talking about the escape room, the leather shop next to that is Crimson Chains.
that's the one! Thanks!
I missed KCRF this year. Am I to understand that there's an escape room on site now? I would like to see how that is set up inside next year if so.
There is! If I'm remembering correctly, this is it's second year.
I guess I missed it in '16. I was surprised but disappointed by the zip line. (It looked like Bob the Incredible Juggler was as well.) Talk about jumping on a bandwagon. Will they be selling fairy fidget spinners this year?
The first year the escape room was located in a large tent up in the Tradewinds area near the Washing Well stage.
Gramercy, Cap'n.
