Huzzah! We have a new home! Hopefully, only for a short time, but a new home all the same.
So, let's settle in and make ourselves comfortable. I've got some wine here and there's some munchies on the table. Bring your favorite snack and beverage of choice and let's get this party started!
Hi Anne! Nice to see you found the new site. I have emailed some folks passing along the link. Hopefully more will stagger into the pub here so to speak.
Let me stumble in and say "very cozy in here" :); ooo, I think I see a place to warm Grand Marnier... over there, by the fire, right?

Yes, indeed, LadyHawke...the fire is ready to take the chill and dampness out of this rustic stone cottage/pub we've found, and should do quite nicely for warming up assorted beverages. When you've got that Grand Marnier warmed up, please pass a bit this way :)
There's also some blackberry brandy, butterscotch shnapps (quite tasty in cocoa), and some homemade Kahluah over there on the table. Feel free to help yourself. Just getting ready to pull some cookies out of the oven, too :)
Greetings, Scarlett. When you find the others, bring them over to the party. We'll be getting a bon fire going outside in a bit. Bring a chair and join the fun!
There's no John's Inn yet however I saw the sign for a House-warming party...I just love parties...may I join yee?
Oh my! All of these unescorted ladies and alcohol flowing freely! It's a good thing I happened by.
Dear Lady Anne, you have mentioned one of my favorite drinks, butterscotch shnapps in cocoa. A fine way to relax in the company of good friends.
Honestly folks, this virtual party is fun, but I'm eager to see all of you again in person. Here's to good company! Slainte!

Of course, ye may join! All are welcome around our table. Don't let the size fool ya...this place is much bigger than it looks!
Professor :) How good to have you here!
I just poured the cocoa, you can grab the shnapps and top us off. Happy to have you here for our protection ;)

Geez, and I thought this was an actual House Warming Party. Silly Scott :-[
It's ok Kilted One. Ladies, me thinkest this lad may be in need of refreshment, quick strong drynk as he confuses the ether world.
Anne Dear, I picked up some lovely L'Occitone Lavendar hand cream on my way over from John's Inn, care thee? It smells divine *sigh*.
Indeed, we must fill kilted one's mug immediately! My dear, if 'twere a real house-warming party, you'd have received a personal invite ;)
Thank thee for the offer of hand cream, good Lady Mikayla. Cleaning up this cottage took a bit of work and my hands will appreciate a bit of comfort. Wouldn't want to be to rough, lest we need to assist one of the gentlemen with a kilt adjustment ;D
Aye, I agree! Must have soft, supple hands for the checking of the kilts! ::)
Well, better late than never. Hi everyone!
Greetings, Drusilia. C'mon in and get comfortable...looks like this is our new home now.
Oh-oh, did someone say "party"? I am mixing the after five margaritas....Professor dear, thank you much for saving me a seat! Can one of you fellows help carry in the Guinness? I was beginning to worry, wasn't sure where all of my friends had gone! So glad we have found each other again. (for those who want to do the face to face....don't forget that Terry is at the Harp this Thursday, May 15...with all the confusion, don't know if he could get a reminder posted). Hope to see some of you there.
Now, we can't have a real party without some of our musically gifted friends...so I thought I would add my little contribution, to get us into our "faire" mood, thinking of days to come!

Hugs to all...I have missed you! Mumsies
So there you are, Mumsies! I was wondering where you'd gotten off to. Figured sooner or later you'd smell the smoke of the fire and see the lights in the windows and find your way here. So glad you're finally joining us. Are the others following soon?
Looking forward to seeing all my new fairemily again very soon :)

Ahhh...this party is beginning to come together nicely. We have music now! I don't play (yet) Terry, but if you'll play, I'll sing along.
I do hope Countess Westmoreland will be joining us soon, as well.
Goodness...I am late to the party once more.
Well what do you expect from the French. But I brought Brought Goodies!!!
*sets down the chevre, strawberry, raspberries and gruyere cheese. Along with a Mouton Cadet Pinot Gris and a Bottle Of DeBouef Beaujolais, and a case of Stella Artois. Baggette, and Croissant.*
Have I forgotten anything???
Better late than never, Luv, especially when you bring goodies like those! Welcome to the party - glad you made it. Grab a seat...Terry was just getting ready to start the sing-along.

Fill him up with Steela Artois,
Fill him up with Steela Artois,
Fill him up with Steela Artois,

oooooh I should never mix.
Drunken indeed...and I can't believe I mispelled Stella Artois....sheesh
Light, does anybody have a light?
Bud Light?
*Sorry. Couldn't resist.*

Well, dear, the French have given us many fine things: french fries, french toast, french kiss :-*
But make no mistake - I like a man in a kilt, as well. And in royal garb, and pirate garb, and leather garb, and tight blue jeans, and...
Do we have some ice water in here?
Okay lass ... I shall give way to that logic ... you make more sense than I do ..
*dumps a bucket of ice water on A/O*

Thank thee, Lady Mikayla. I didn't think it was possible to appreciate the men in tights too long, but mayhap ye be right about that.
BRRRRR! :o Somebody get me a towel, please.
Ummm, I was actually just going to gulp the ice water, but I guess your way was quicker.
....And a row and a ruction soon began.

Wasn't it the truth I tol' ya. Lot's of fun at the house warming.
Whew, I made it! Hello, dear friends! I love what you've done with the place!
I honestly didn't think I would get here with the traffic as bad as it is heading to the joust. Please, might I have a sip of cool red wine if any one has some?
Ladies, you look lovely! And gentlemen, Oh, be still my beating heart, you all do look so fine!!!
I am so happy to be here!
Countess~ So good to se you again. I am sorry I do not have a red wine, would you like a Guinness instead?
Terry...Bravo for the on-the-spot lyrics adjustments ;D
Countess, so glad you finally made it. There's wine, kahlua, Butter Shots, etc, over on the table, and some munchies, too. And Lady Guinness has the Guinness, of course.
Don't let Lady Mikayla hear that the gentlemen have your heart racing...she's wicked with that ice water!
Why is everyone so down on the French??? Okay, so the 20th century was not so good for our Rep,
but if we go back to the 15th and 16th Century...then hey. And let us not forget the French helped us out in our little revolution here that began this country we call home.
Ok enough Nationalism....
I believe there was a lady who was calling out for a red Wine??? Ah i have a Wonderful Beaujolais for Her Grace, The Countess Westmoreland. Madame, tis my pleasure to serve...
Any one else???
As for the tights? Walking up and down hills as a kid has its perks....HA!!!
Too late A/O but yee might wanna duck,
Countess - *SPLASH* cool yee off too a bit aye?
demmed frenchman causing such a ruckus indeed! hills aye???
Ah, Du Coeur, Always the gentleman!
Gramercy, kind sir, the Beaujolais does indeed taste wonderful.
And I do appreciate the much needed splash!
You want red wine? Ahem, here we go:
Red, red wine
Go to my head
Make me forget that I
Still need her so
Red, red wine
Its up to you
All I can do, I've done
But memories won't go
No, memories won't go
I'd have sworn
That with time
Thoughts of you
Would leave my head
I was wrong
And I find
Just one thing
Makes me forget
Red, red wine
Stay close to me
Don't let me be alone
It's tearing apart
My blue, blue heart.
(Boy I'm a miserable drunk.)

No need to hide in the shadows, Lady Guinness, we'll not make you sing. You can hum along, if you want to. While you're up, would you mind looking for the marshmallows? I know I brought some in...they must be around here somewhere. I'm going to wander out and find a few good roasting sticks. I found them!!! Anne....where did you go? Now what I'm I to do with a bag of marshmallows and no sticks for the roasting? Next person that strolls by will have to look for the chocolate.......

Ummmm...we seem to have a bit of a problem here, folks....
Last thing I remember hearing Mistress Charlotte say was something like, "seventy 'leven boggles of deer at the mall." Now she's out cold...right in front of the snack table.
Can someone give me a hand getting the poor girl moved out of the way so she doesn't
block my way to the cookies get trampled on?
Come on Anne, together we can get her moved...
***moves Mistress Charlotte out of the way and props her against the wall...takes finger paint to her face...***
Well, now I see why she was singing about boggles of deer. When I started cleaning up the cabin for our little party, I took that disgusting deer head mount off the wall by the fireplace and put it out of the way...behind the snack table. When Charlotte finally collapsed to the floor, the deer was staring right at her only about three feet away!
Oooohhhh, those are such pretty paints, Lady Mikayla. I have a great idea! Let's paint her face to look like a deer. Mayhap we can get a couple of the gentlemen to carry in the large mirror in the other room and put it in front of her ;)
Right after I get another cookie...
Oh Gentlemen, would you mind giving us....gentlemen? Hello?
*shrugs*
Well, no wonder it suddenly got so quiet in here. Looks like Mistress Charlotte isn't the only one who passed out.
I think we're all waiting for Misstress Charlotte to awake. We're all standing over here by the bar, just waiting. Nobody wants to startle her.
This should be good.
....why is everyone so quiet? ......We aren't out of ale are we???? Where is the Guinness? *looking frantically around the room* Ah!
take a moment to dance with one lovely frenchman and the other men move the keg ~DuCoeur..were you in on that?
REdirection and distraction Chere is an ancient strategy...yet as a gentleman...and french, I can not not allow for any parched throats...
Here you are mon cherie...
*passes M'lady Guinness a...um...guinness*
Wakes up Anne and Mistress Charlotte, ladies, come now, it is night, time for us to come alive...awake!
I'm not sleeping...really! Just, ummmm....checking the inside of my eyelids for holes while we wait for Mistress Charlotte to awaken. But this is an incredibly comfortable leather chair... No, no...mustn't stay in the chair or the eyelid checking will resume.
Guess it's my job to keep everyone awake. Maybe a little rock and roll.
"It's a part, of my Renaissance Fantasy".
Fie! There goes another string. DuCoeur busts a move and I bust a string. I guess that's why they call me "String Slayer".
Terry~ hurry and fix the string my dear for we do need some of your wonderful music to awaken our group
DuCoeur~ thank you dear sir for the Guinness...how did you know ;)* batting eyes sheepishly at the handsome Frenchman*
*looking around the room to start some mischief*
Got it. Now;
"On a long and lonely highway, East of Morelandshire
You can listen to the horses ploddin' through the muck and mire......."
Charlotte hears a lovely tune. She opens her eyes to find herself under a table and surrounded by a table cloth. It feels homey like a fort when she was young. Carefully she peaks out from under the table, and her memory begins to return........ Oh my...... what have I done!........ I can never show my face again.........wait....... do I smell chocolate chip cookies?
ps Colorado faire opens tomorrow..... June 14. I will play again soon
As a matter of fact, Charlotte, you do smell chocolate chip cookies. I just took some out of the oven. They're on the table there...that one right beside the big mirror... ;D
*psst - look Lady Mikayla - she's awake and tottering toward the mirror* ;)
I do hope she likes the "artwork"!!! ;D
Oops, guess who's house I'm at!
Lady Mikayla
*swirls Lady Guinness in another dance* What skill M'lady...not one drop spilled.
*promenades to Lady Mikayla, and gives her a twirl* " Ah! a lively tune..I think we shall Dance."
Such a lovely dance DuCoeur...thank you.....mmmmm....I am afraid the Guinness may be getting a little low...I see some gloom faces over by the keg...excuse me kind sir as I sneak away to get more for everyone...

Hey, this is the second post I've found like this! Kind of like a treasure hunt....
Keep hunting...there are more ;D
Did I hear birthday? Fun...here is a pint of Guinness dear Scarlet.....Have a wonderful day.
Let's all sing Happy Birthday to Scarlett..
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday dear Scarlett,
Happy Birthday to you.
The drinks are on Scarlett,
The drinks are on Scarlett,
The drinks are on Scarlett,
So let's all have two.
....mmmmmmm......*looking around the very quiet room....tiptoing toward the keg....is the party over or is eveyrone under the
tables?*
Oh, Lady Guinness. I'm so glad you're here. Our electricity just went out and I thought I lost everybody. Let's have a pint and hope everyone else is ok.
We were all so intent on waiting to see Charlotte's reaction to our paint project...
I guess none of us really realized just how empty our glasses were becoming.
I was just going to pull the strawberry slush out of the freezer...anyone else care for some?
With all that face painting, dancing, twirling, drinking, whew...I was a bit wore out...I could use some refreshing. Any Guiness left to be had? and some cheese to nosh on would be nice indeed...and maybe a croissant...please, please, hold the cheese paper though. lol and fruit and berries, that would be nice as well indeed.
*filling the mugs with Guinness and winking at Terry to get him to sing*
Thank you for the refill Lady Guinness!
*Takes a long deep pull from her tankard. Then using the back of her hand, wipes her mouth.*
Hey!!! What's this all over my hand?? Looks up at everybody as they stare and begin to politely chuckle.......
WHAT????
Mistress Charlotte, welcome back deer lady.
Deer Lady indeed...do you like your new face? heehee :D
Anne, what did you put in My tankard?...it looks like Charlotte has grown a Mustache!!

Well folks, I've enjoyed the house-warming, but we've done warmed the place all the way into faire season, and I've got to plan a trip to Avaloch. Good night all. Au reviour!
Oh dear, oh dear....Oh DEER! What are we going to about poor Charlotte? I see the mistake now...a drip of paint had run down the side of the box. What I thought said Face Paints was actually supposed to say Base Paints!
It's a good thing we have plenty of refreshment here, Charlotte, 'cause I think you're going to be stuck in the cabin for a while until we figure out how to undo our little faux pas. :-[

Anyhoooo Anybody up for a game of Parcheesi? (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3071/2626643802_3c0d1d9564_m.jpg)
Happy trails to you,
Until we meet again.
Happy trails to you.
Keep smilin' until then.........
The top layer of skin lasts about a week, so you'll be back to normal in about a week. In the meantime, ale and parchessi sounds great! :D Ummm, how do you play parchessi? ::)
Its easy Lady Mikayla, just take a seat, pick a color of Pawns (red, yellow, Green, or Blue)... Heres your Pair of dice....
Put your pawns in their matching corner square.
Now to get a pawn out of the square you have to roll a five, now if you roll pairs of five you can move 2 pawns out.
that can always be the tricky part gettign 5's...I think we need a pitcher of something...is there any Sangria?
This sounds like the game Aggravation. Have you played that before? I do not have Sangria...but I have Guinness!
Sorry, Trouble, & Aggravation are all based on the same Principle, I am not much for Beer, but I will try your Guinness a small glass please :)
