Is there any way we can adjust what colors we see on the forum with the new changes? I am seeing 4 or 5 shades of light blue on a pale gray/blue background or various faded pinkish/orange text on orange backgrounds. Very hard on my eyes.
Plus the "new posts" indicator is now just a darker shade of blue gray than the "no new posts" indicator button.

DeadBishop is looking for a new look that fits the forum. Give us a few days to work out bugs and such and it should be taken care of. :)
With this newest forum software there aren't nearly as many options as previously. Unfortunately the majority of them are black background variations, which we found that most people did not care for during the last upgrade. The rest are montone, so you get all blue on blue on blue, etc. The current "look" is the closest to our previous, and the easiest to read, that I've found so far, anyway.
Thanks for the info.
It seems so many of those who create these programs like to use funky combinations apparently giving little (or no) thought as to whether it comfortable to look at for reading purposes, especially for those of us who grew up reading black print on white paper.
DB, what if you created a custom theme for it? Based on http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/How_to_create_a_smf_theme (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/How_to_create_a_smf_theme) it seems like you could just create a theme with a new index.css and let the rest stay as is.
(i could help with that; pm me if you want)

do you have a custom theme right now to handle that custom code?
No but if the theme is changed I'll need to move some stuff to the new theme.
