Title: The fest at Casa Loma
Post by: SirMike on July 13, 2009, 08:25:22 AM
Hi all. I was wondering about a couple things at the recent fest at Casa Loma. First, the group of guys who were there with the viking weapons and armour. Who were they? Great group of guys, just wondering if they represent some sort of group or something. The other question was about the Gypsies I do believe. Just wondering what they were all about and where they are based out of. The belly dancing was incredible. That sword balanced on the head while dancing was a sight to watch. I have been out of the ren fest scene for a few years now and just was curious. God I miss Milton............. But a great job was done by all. It was a fantastic day

many thanks for any info,
Sir Mike

The viking group are the Scallagrims (http://www.scallagrims.com/) and they are very cool dudes. Their fire shows are fantastic.

As for the gypsies, I honestly don't know if there is a group name, but the leader of the dancers is Yazna, more often known as Kat ('cause that's her name). She's at most faires, either vending or dancing.
