They say they have an agreement for renting land, but don't specify where and no website yet as far as I've seen.

The Fair covers a modestly broad historical period ranging from the year 1200 – 1850 in Europe.
The Faire is held on wide open area including the Lions park is primitive type site which covers about 4 acres.
Looks like they are planning on being a non-profit show.

As someone who doesn't have Facebook and has never had Facebook this festival is not for me. Can find hardly any info as they seem to use Facebook as there only website. I will sit out this festival until I can actually read about it without having to create a Facebook account to log in and see.
Yeah, starting out on a shoestring budget is one thing, but a pubic website in a necessity these days.

Unfortunately second day of the (renamed) Lakes Area Royale Faire was cancelled this morning due to rain making the site unsafe.

But I got an Email from one of the original people who resigned from LARF and says she's trying to do an event this year anyway...
Even though the Lakes Area Renfest is far away from me , I still hate to see one suspend a season or take a hiatus. I'm sure it's a disappointment to those who count on and plan to go to that renfest.
Sounds like there's been a falling out between the board and the woman who got the ball rolling. It's been pretty small so far.
Sword in the Stone Renaissance Festival is being organized by the people who took over from the woman who started the Lakes Area Ren fest. They say they want to do it in October.
