Title: 2nd Annual Midlands Celtic Festival
Post by: Rowan MacD on June 30, 2009, 01:02:14 PM
Omaha's Levy Carter Park on July 11th.

Live pipe music all day, kirking of the tartans and dance competitions.  Last year they didn't get any athletic games going but it was a pleasant afternoon.   I thought it was wonderful that the highland dance competition was to a live piper!

Come join us!  Admission is free.

This year's weather was perfect! little wind, lightly overcast and 82 degrees. I was happy to see a few fellow Rennies were able to make it out to play, and a few more were there to make a little money.
The crowd was, of course, bigger than last year, as word is getting around about the event, and a news reporter was there to help with that.  Altogether a fine day!
Can't wait till next year ;D
