Title: 2011 Updates from the new New Jersey Renaissance Faire
Post by: McGuinness on December 25, 2010, 07:47:19 AM
A friend of mine is one of the founders of the new New Jersey Renaissance Faire that had its first season in 2010. He's just sent out info on the 2011 season (and posted on their Facebook page), and I thought I'd spread it along to all of you as well:

--------------------

Greetings all,

A lot has been happening at the New Jersey Renaissance Faire this winter. I
have just finished our new website and put it up on the web. Feel free to
browse it and let me know what you think. I know there are some glitches
but this is my first one so be kind. I know already that the vendor form
looks odd and does not show up all the way.

Be sure to check out the revels page where many of our fine independent acts
that are already on board are listed with links to their site. Also check
out the vendors page to see a list of the fine merchants that have agreed to
grace our shire for the upcoming season.

If you have any contact with local schools who may want to come and join us
for our school day on Friday June 10 please let me know who i could get a
hold of to send out a packet to.

*Auditions:*

Auditions will be held on January 16 and 22 and if you are interested i need
to schedule you for a time so feel free to let me know if you would like to
come in and when we can expect you.

*The Plot:

*We just announced our plot for 2011 at our winter cast party that we held
at Prospectors in Mount Laurel New Jersey. About thirty of our team showed
up for a night of bonding and fun with our cast family, some of our vendors
and staff from Liberty Lake. It was a blast.

This year Crossford will be visited by the legendary King Arthur. The evil
Morgana has put a curse on several of the Knights of the Round Table. These
knights are all violently, jealously in love with the good Queen Guinevere.
Merlin can do nothing, for his powers have been negated by the wicked
Minuet. Arthur flees to the woods with his lovely bride for safety and the
magic of Crossford Woods brings him to our shire. Morgana leads the cursed
knights after them. The Round Table itself is at a cross roads this year.
If this curse is not broken by the summer solstice, it will be permanent and
Camelot will meet an untimely demise. Last year the people of Crossford
helped Maid Marian, can they do the same for the knights?

Hope everyone has a great holiday season and we will see you all in June.

Kind regards,
TJ Miller

I just learned that they won't be there. Don't know what happened.
