Title: Labour Day Weekend!
Post by: Orphena on August 26, 2013, 05:25:11 AM
M'lord and I are very much looking forward to this coming weekend! We will be there on Saturday and Sunday, and will keep our eyes open for forum people! At least one of us will be wearing a RF pin (probably me)! I'll be in my newly refurbished gold gown! If you see us, (we're both quite tall), please stop and say hi!

I'm thinking of attending the queen's tea, solo, as well... So if anyone needs a friend for that, let me know!

I'll keep an eye out for you however, I'd guess it's going to be packed this weekend. I'll be sporting my new pirate garb for the "high seas" weekend. Burgundy waistcoat, brown headscarf, gold sash...plus there are very few 6'2" guys with long blond hair wondering the village. If you see me, please introduce yourself.

5 days and counting!

Looking forward to meeting both of you this weekend!

Orphena, to see her 'new' gold gown (you know, to compare notes  ;))

and SNS, to fully inspect your new coat and...ahem... accessories.  ;D

*hey, I'm a Courtesan. AND a Wench. what would you expect?*

Well, speaking of Wenches...

IWG local 57 will be holding DRENCH A WENCH at 3:30 on the Field of Honor (next to the joust field) every day of Labor Day Weekend.

All donations go to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Weather this weekend looks to be pretty warm, so it will be perfect weather for it.

Get a Wench Wet, and she'll give you a smooch.  :o It's all for a good cause --saving the bodice stuffing! 8)

Everybody WINS.  ;D

I had a great Saturday wandering the faire, I've posted pictures on Flickr. If you're in one of them let me know so I can give proper credit, and if you want a higher-rez copy I can send it to you as well. I'm not a pro, and my costume kind of required a compact camera, but some came out pretty good.

Lady Orphena!  We met at Michigan and we talked about if we saw you at Carolina, but I have found the photo of you both from Maryland!  The one time we were each there and I have a photo!  It was nice to see you again! Be in touch.  Mike and Joe

I am new to this and can't find the add photo option!!!

We had an Amazing time! Thank you Michigan for your outstanding hospitality! So many new friends, such excellent remembered friends! We Love you all!

Steve, so glad we connected! So nice to have a drink together with your lovely wife!

Mike and Joe! Welcome to the forums! I thought it may have been Maryland! We'll keep an eye out for you on future excursions!

Lady Amy, what a delight to find a likeminded individual! Carl, so nice of you to remember us and introduce us around again!

To all the rogues in the pub...well, what can I say? I love you all!

Had a wonderful time connecting with the wenches, m'lord apparently went and got himself wrenched while I was at tea - but as I ended up waiting for him at the pub, I would say that we were equally ...charmed...

Lady fair, we enjoyed being able to wave at you, and were pleased to see you busy with customers as we passed by!

Such an excellent experience! Huzzah to Michigan!

Actually got there this past Labor Day weekend on Sunday -

Were in town visiting my parents and treated them to a day at the Faire.  Been decades since I've been and it is great to see how much it's grown.  Didn't have much time for shows unfortunately as we used most of our time exploring, aka shopping  ;D

Amy got a new chapeau from Blond Swan, a lovely purple leather riding hat, and I picked up a new belt for my civies from Father Dave.
