I've seen links in some people's posts that are just text (say, "faire photos"). How do you do that?

Just remove the * and put your link in.
There is also an insert URL button in the post area under the underline icon.
Thanks! I tried the button, but it wasn't clear where to put the URL and where to put the text. I'll try it on my Scarby pix next week.
It isn't really clear where to put the url when you click the URL button. Inside the brackets, after "url" put an equals sign, so "url=" and then insert the url after the equals sign. :) It's like the old boards, only you don't need the quotes around the url.
